5th General Assembly of the CIRCALGAE project

The 5th General Assembly of the CIRCALGAE project took place on 21st and 22nd October 2024 at Lisbon (Portugal)!

The project’s Portuguese partner, Algae for Future (A4F), hosted this consortium meeting in its facilities. A4F is a biotechnology company with more than 20 years of experience in microalgae R&D and production (up to industrial scale). A4F is specialized in the design, building, operation and transfer of commercial-scale microalgae production units.

This was time to take stock of the project’s progress with the presentation of all the results. Once all the algae co-product samples have been analysed, development of the final product prototypes will begin, thanks to the end-user partners in food, feed and cosmetic sectors.

The consortium had also the opportunity to visit the different facilities of A4F such as the laboratories and the ALGATEC Eco Business Park with large cascade raceways and tubular photobioreactors.

A4F also hosted the microalgae workshop organized by CEVA and the MULTI-STRE3M consortium.
